one in a million
after loss
there are so many levels of grief
you have the initial shock
that catapults
through you
like a wrecking ball
where every fucking
part of you
hurts
in places you were
never aware
of
then there is the loss
of realizing how alone
in your grief
you truly are
those who tell
you in different ways
to move on
let it go
someone out there
is waiting for you
but, the experiences
you shared with this person
are unmatched in every way
if there really is such a thing
as a "soul mate"
she had finally found it
only to have it so
permanently RIPPED
from her
grasp
she would tell them
he was one in a million
she will never find that again
they tell her
that's not true
you will have that
her grief comes from
knowing how blessed
she was
even if it was only
for a little while
fully aware that
she will never
have that
you can't just replace
something so powerful
someone who is forever
inscribed
on your soul
there are so many levels of grief
