The crossroads of my heart

I stand here now, and I need to choose
This decision I feel there is no way to win or too loose
To fall in love was never my plan but rules they say you can only love one
One's much older but I know he care's
One younger, too, with his full life to share
But what if I choose and do it all wrong
Eyes filling with tears as I hear our old love song
As we lay on the grass under the bright moonlight
Watching bats over head flying through the night sky
Maybe I shouldn't turn left or turn right
Might carry on solo on my very own path
Decisions are hard, you can not go back
Regrets so strong they can come back to haunt
Why can't you love two, why is it so wrong
The reason I felt I have to write this love song
I care so much, but I had to leave
I fear I can no longer wear my heart on my sleeve
It's time to leave and go it all alone
It is the only way to fly solo
You need no one to keep safe be strong alone until you meet your grave
Take care you both I more than cared
You came to me at the crossroads of my heart
