Just Justice
by Ally-Rochester (Pinta)
For heavens sake, pull up the emergency brake, how much are we going to take this is worst than an outbreak, it's more like an earthquake we are wide awake and afraid
Don't we see what's at stake We can no more think it's a mistake.
Something has got to break
All week am on bended knees
Praying for the keys to unleash this grief, not a relief,
not a release another one deceased
Our people are dying in the streets, there's no justice as we speak, this hurt so deep holding my belly I weep
We cry for justice! justice! but none seems to notice The police! The police! seems to be the accomplice no eyewitness
Are all loyalists?
What is this we insist, it's racists, trace-it, face-it and stop-it,
Can we erase it?
I feel weak, blood running in the streets, Oh God! My heart leaps, no heart beat
The fear, and the tear, I swear
For years, this nightmare reappear it won't disappear
Who cares, their names keep ringing in my ears
Those were and are our fathers, teachers, lawyers, doctors, engineers entrepreneurs and pioneers
What I fear is how severe the killing gets year after year
There is no understanding all ears seems to stopped to our crying, fighting against racism, labeling, marginalizing, demoralizing and racial profiling, remember lynching
How dare you have eyes rolling when we are mourning and our children are dying from senseless killings
What is our crime? Is it because we are Black or because we are outstanding? Yes we are still flourishing, unwavering not what you were expeccting, thinking we unbecoming
You have to admit we are breathtaking, standing tall, not shaking,
So your sighing and deep breath taking, saying it's frustrating
Still breathing in and breathing out, threatening to take us out, we got the warnings.
Yes! we hear the whisperings
So now we can't even go jogging walking, or running or we have to explain from whence we are coming, for some only see the hood in their neighborhood saying "you misunderstood"
It ended up in us dying and you lying, seriously! Where is the investigating
People are hurting, the anger is surmounting, this keeps happening, that's why we demonstrating and you are condemning when it turns into a rioting
Oh the pain! is excruciating, and what do you say when we are fighting, not that we need explaining, how condescending!
Many think it is entertaining while they are watching and laughing, and pretending just don't know how to be forthcoming
How dare you compare our feelings to little or no meaning when our tears are streaming as if seeking for understanding
Listen, do you hear the chiming of church bell as if crying it's the funeral, meaning another one fell, and the story we have tell, what the the hell!
But tears are a language only God understands, I feel so emotional Oh man! what about the future generation
For heavens sake, pull up the emergency brake, how much are we going to take this is worst than an outbreak, it's more like an earthquake we are wide awake and afraid
