"Baby, I am yours, yours, yours!"
Drip drip drip
is the sound of the sink;
is the sound of water,
falling from my face.
looking into the bathroom mirror,
brokenly humming our song;
too choked up to sing.
Loved you as if I had one thousand hearts.
But fortunately for you, you don't count.
eyes would always scream, "Baby, I am yours, yours, yours!"
and . . . your quiet touch whispered to me,
"You will always be mine."
Double-sided words, silly jokes, smokey looks
Shallow promises, you slowly wrap arms of control around me.
Naive and in love, but in hindsight see it was best.
You taught me a lesson: be careful of who you love.
Why steal a heart, when its given freely.
