What Else is New?
we used to be wild and free
what happend?
look out!
it's another get you got you
trapped in a cage botched job
we call it responsibility
looks oh so domesticated
willing or unwilling
it's like a certain time comes
and we're forced to play
this grown up game
the same one that was so lame
when we were kids
have friends saying it sucks
as if that defines us
may I spin again?
pass go
and go again
because adulting seems so drawn out
like the life has been sucked right out
no longer the geeks
no longer the class clowns
creativity is now formulated
anything else
is a hard shake of the head, no!
I must of missed the boat
because I'm still living it up
taking every moment as it comes
and planning to die young
no matter how many years pass
you can catch me
playing my music loud at 3 a.m.
you know it's the kind with instruments
and if I'm being judged
looked down on by my peers
well, what else is new?

Haha, I'm 36. I been feeling rather nostalgic lately. Kind of miss the fun that was the 90's early 2000's. 80's seemed fun too, but I was too young to really take it in lol.

We all have moments and memories that make us happy. Listening to music and thinking of those old feelings is my happiness. But I'm sure you have those things that brings you joy.
