I do not not love you
more than the palm trees
and ocean waves put together
our time is fleeting
not that I will
think about that till I die
but I will wonder
what if we never met
I was already making plans
grabbing scissors to cut the story short

if I could just drop it all
with nothing left to prove
maybe than

more often than not
I get lost in the chaos
neglecting the attention you deserve
always trying to live up
to unrealistic expectations
saying to myself

then why do I feel like

more and more everyday

back to normality
seems like back to open wounds
when really all my purpose should be you
I think its time I take time
remembering what's important
