A Modern Pardoner's Tale

Three fools from Blighty - Matt, Dimwitty,
and Boris - thought they could kill death.
Devising plans devoid of pity,
to give someone, one more last breath.

Perhaps a worthy undertaking,
apart from the stupid mistaking
of point for pointless.  Thus, our knaves
embarked upon making us slaves.

As covid was waxing and waning,
they spread fear by a false measure
and, squandered the nation's treasure.
They shut the NHS, explaining:
your cruel, needless sacrifice
to give us kudos, may suffice.
