Bright and Hungry Eyes
I dine on all that’s lovely
I’ve sampled what is best.
Now I walk on distant coasts
in search of peace and rest.
I commit to every moment
as waves flow gently away
having loved, and now, to love again
on a dark and sandy bay.
You bring a flexing flesh to me. Your sweet, bright eyes stare down.
Gazing at the hardened rod that springs from deep within my soul,
your eyes betray a hunger as you kneel in soft silence.
“Oh, please,” I say, “You’ll make him blush.”
You giggle, “He does seem to have personality.” We laugh and I almost lose my balance, but you lean slowly against me with widening eyes and wet lips apart. I feel your warm palm on my thigh as you begin the ancient ritual in honor of our lust.
A better man would know this is the love of his life. A better man would seek only you, but I glance at the open window where my raven soul will soon flutter out in search of other bright and hungry eyes.
