What Is A Woman?
Shall I not love you anyway
Who goldens the warm spring day
And moves with supple beauty
As if the breath of May
What is a woman, really
But the beauty of a man's soul
And what is a man
(If he be true)
But the strength to make her whole
And all is theirs that matters
If they but live with loved forged will
Come tempest or in sunshine
Love their life will fill
For life's a dance
Through all its joy and pain
Yet, love will always dance
Even in the rain
You, pale in the moonlight
Or bronzed by sun flamed day
Whose fiery spirit glows within
The all that lights my way
Wreathed fragrant as a flower
With eyes in which I'm lost
Come and whisper to me nearer
Near enough to kiss you soft
Who goldens the warm spring day
And moves with supple beauty
As if the breath of May
What is a woman, really
But the beauty of a man's soul
And what is a man
(If he be true)
But the strength to make her whole
And all is theirs that matters
If they but live with loved forged will
Come tempest or in sunshine
Love their life will fill
For life's a dance
Through all its joy and pain
Yet, love will always dance
Even in the rain
You, pale in the moonlight
Or bronzed by sun flamed day
Whose fiery spirit glows within
The all that lights my way
Wreathed fragrant as a flower
With eyes in which I'm lost
Come and whisper to me nearer
Near enough to kiss you soft
