go ahead and leave
go fall off a tree
all those silly words mean nothing to me
been through hard times
and it�s plain to see
I�m a love maker, heart breaker
with haters always lurking with knives
wish a mother fucker would try
I�ll just look up at the sky
say my goodbyes to the night
because I have seen the liiight!

I�ll take every hit and thrive
like all of the time
let them believe that I�m out of my mind
can�t keep explaining these whats and whys
misrepresentation from stupid lies
it�s all fine, i'll spit it out like a playful rhyme
shoot them in the chest with every line
looking up at the sky
saying goodbyes to the night
because I have seen the liiight!

so this is how it is, and always will be
no, you don�t have to pretend to like me
but you best always respect thee
I�m a good guy
until I'm forced to be the bad guy
and it�s plain to see
just open your eyes for once in your life
take a little time to see that I�m right
I�ll show you the way
and you can look up at the sky
make you see the fucking liiight!

but there�s no getting through
some people will always play me off as a fool
say to their friends that I�m bad news
wanting me locked away in solitude
so I guess fuck them
and fuck their friends too
I�ll just laugh it off, take comfort in love
surround myself with others who
