So near but yet so far you are,
Some days it lies heavy on my heart,
It feels like you’re an elusive piece,
In a game that’s still to start.
The connection is strong, to you I am drawn.
I see your flaws and I think you see mine.
I have cared for you deeply, into love I did fall,
But this stays unsaid, I just can’t cross that line.

The palpable feel of such want and desire mixed with the reservation of 'crossing that line' .... it permeates deeply, here.... just superbly conveyed and the pull on my sense of empathy is just..... ohh my..... Immense. This resonates...
