WHY I COMMENT ON POEMS

You nailed it dear poet ... I try to do the same ... I believe those of us who post here want to be read ... get feedback ... encouragement ... I know I get almost none of the real world ... nicely said ...

I encourage people to read and comment as much as possible..... I have learned so very much by reading many many poems here. I feel like doing so has broadened my horizons and perspectives. Leaving comments, well that has mostly been a learning curve. Yet, even the comments I leave seem to have impacted me, too.(hopefully the poet's that I've left them for, as well) I believe it's opened me up to critical thinking and definitely more empathy. To me, it's not about critiquing or being any type of editor, it's about connecting with another human being and letting them know why their words have touched you in a specific way. Like LilD said, it's not something that usually occurs in a daily life so I feel like it's important ... that's just my humble opinion... :)  
 
You are of the same mindset as my own, I believe, Oral... I really appreciate your thoughtfulness here and I hope to see you on my page with your lovely comments in the future... lol 😂.... just saying... I love them too!

I like it, it is totally an honor to read. not to pounce upon the most crass part, but the toilet stalls getting a mention, that just, to me established such an immediate connection, because I think that's such an intimate thing that people do read the writing is left behind by others in that space, and oft enough in my life for me to notice, I have experienced moments of poignancy in that environment. So thank you for the reminder of both that, and what we are or could be doing while we're commenting

I comment to validate those moments
that the poet took to go it with their emotions.
Sometimes complicated commotion
and they are in the ocean drowning.
Frowning on decisions, making incisions too.
Smiling all the while wilding out.
Expressing joy of life or joy of love.
Shoving those words into a sentence.
Dense feeling or light-hearted play.
I love what some poets have to say.

I admire your openness and ability to appreciate what’s before you without bias or reservation. Just lovely recognition of that poet and whatever they want to put across. This is certainly another unique poem from you, Oralizer, tackling subjects not many would think to write about. The bottom line is that people at least have or find the confidence to submit.
