Masquerade
I’m not fooled by her strength
That masquerades to give ease
To the pain that she must feel
But she never lets me see
All the fears inside her head
The same ones inside mine
But we will never say a word
Because the words we can’t find
Words would only make this real
Better to sit silent with the lies
There’s nothing the truth can bring
That we don’t see in each other’s eye
She’s not fooled by my strength
