His Music

Some days I just listen to my dad’s music
The 70s, 80s, and 90s mostly
Even though I am so far away from him, it helps
I didn’t think I loved his music this much
But now every time I listen to it, I’m reminded of him
It’s going to be hard when he’s gone
And I have to listen to it all by myself
I hate the uncertainty of his cancer
No one has any idea how long he will live
What he listens to is now what I listen to
Growing up with these songs has forever connected them to him
I remember that I use to get so sick of him always putting on the 80s station
And now, I put it on whenever I get the chance
