Growing Old

Is life' s feast almost over?
Eternal hunger satisfied?
Are we comfortable in growing colder
Are all our desires gratified?

Can we muster for one last "Hurra!!"?
Can we get away from cleaning the car?
Can we dig out our hungry beating heart?
Can we jump-start another start?

Are we happy to be an old boring fart?

Do we want to jeopardize careful established arrangements?
Is the curtain closing on life's engagements?
Can we struggle, can we fight?
Or are we paralyzed by death's big fright?

What is left out there for us to bother?
Have we not seen it all?
Have we lived a life full and proper?
Have we followed our soul's call?
