the end is coming
salvation is nigh
I'm wondering when
and wondering why

all we think
and all we believe
disappears
the moment we leave

from where we are
and all we know,
one thing's for certain
we will all go

maybe tomorrow
maybe tonight
time will end as
we enter the light

mercurial blazing
silvery fire
a cool-ly compelling
final desire

we all go
through Elysian Fields
which we didn't know

were at the beginning
and after the end
and too in between
as our egos did wend

their ways through
moments in time
breathing the rhythm
with which to calm mind
