Tangled Heart

Lately I have been thinking about you
But the thing is I refuse to check up on you
Because I know it would be opening pandoras box

I do hope you are doing well
But I don't know today my heart just feels tangled up

Don’t worry this isn't me missing you
It's just that my mind is making me question a lot of things lately

My heart hasn't really been opened up
For a while now
And I am asking myself why this is the case

So in my own way
I am just investigating the cause
Which leads me on a journey to the past
To look at the causes and effects
And to figure out why my heart feels tangled up
No love is flowing through it
And that's a crime against my very nature

So that's how I ended up thinking about you

I'm starting to feel like there are a finite number of 'good ones' out there
And for some reason
I keep meeting them
Yet things never work out

Lately it's like my lot has been used up
I mean how many chances does one really get?

I don't know
Things are a chaotic calm

I'm drowning in my own thoughts
