The clash of Cutlass ( The Poet pirate series part 3)

The clash of Cutlass (The Poet pirate series 3)

After a volley of main cannon both ships crews just swung aboard, they had come to look for treasure, this merchant ship must hold a hoard

But the merchants wouldn't give up easily they were prepared to stand and fight, so with pistol, muskets and sabres they fought with all their might

Swords clashed like thunder, flintlock powder smoke filled the air, men dying and bleeding, were laid out everywhere

High in the rigging a merchant sailor was taking aim, in his sights was the Blushing Blade, he intentions was to kill or badly maim

Just has he was about to shoot, a pistol shot went through his head, she was saved by the Poet Pirate, her would be assassin fell down dead

They stood fighting back to back, taking on all who dare to come , protecting each other, in battle until the fight was done

They weren't angry cut-throats, rules of engagement and conduct were set down, written by the king of Pirates Bartholomew Roberts wore that crown

When the merchant shipwas emptied, they were set adrift with food and drink, this was the Pirate code, they were more honorable than you think

Soon the merchant ship was emptied of its haul, chests of Gold and Silver found, now they had to find a island and hide it under ground

That night the Poet and the Blade, devided up the loot they found, then she thanked him for saving her, as she was duty bound

He said it was nothing, he'd never let her get hurt or fall, for she meant the world to him, to him, to him she was his all

He pulled her close to him, they shared a kiss and warm embrace, she knew no harm would come of her, she saw it in his face

No man would cause her harm, not with the Poet by her side, his love was her protection, as across the sea they ride

The Blushing Blade was a match for any man, her skills with a pistol, knife or sword, but she liked that he loved and protected her, she felt cherished and adored

The Caribbean ocean was there home, the Sea was their domain, let them send the Kings Navy, these Pirates will remain
