Christmas missing
So here’s to another Christmas without you,
Still feeling so alone and a little blue,
Let’s hope the next few years,
Doesn’t bring any more tears,
That brings joy chasing away our fears,
Here’s to hearing many more cheers,
More laughter to brighten our day,
Hopefully many more years here we will stay,
Still not the same as we all miss,
I know I yearn for someone to hug and kiss,
Each day the hurt does dull in pain,
As they go by it lessens the strain,
So look to the memories for all the good times we had,
That helps when I feel sad,
Such a quiet Christmas but I guess it’s something I’ll get used too,
A least I have the kids to remind me of you.
Still feeling so alone and a little blue,
Let’s hope the next few years,
Doesn’t bring any more tears,
That brings joy chasing away our fears,
Here’s to hearing many more cheers,
More laughter to brighten our day,
Hopefully many more years here we will stay,
Still not the same as we all miss,
I know I yearn for someone to hug and kiss,
Each day the hurt does dull in pain,
As they go by it lessens the strain,
So look to the memories for all the good times we had,
That helps when I feel sad,
Such a quiet Christmas but I guess it’s something I’ll get used too,
A least I have the kids to remind me of you.
