Scars
Many scars upon my skin
Jagged reminders of where I’ve been
Deeper still are the scars upon my soul who’s darker stories remain untold
Scars I hide so very deep that they remain mysteries to even me
You view them as imperfections so ugly
To me they are badges of honour reminding me of where I have been and how far I have come and that I have survived man’s sins
