Daywalker
I watched his heart stop~
the clock ticks to nautical twilight
and I pause
His skin turned cold in my hands
a pallor washing over sunkissed flesh
and I watch,
I hesitate
A hundred years plus one
I awaited the burn of the sun
but it never came
and I turned my gaze to the day
they would tear me apart
bury me facedown in the dirt
with a stake through my heart
It never came
a hundred years plus one
and I still walk in the sun
Now I create,
breathe to life a new race
for hours I watch,
and in the dawn he Awakes
the clock ticks to nautical twilight
and I pause
His skin turned cold in my hands
a pallor washing over sunkissed flesh
and I watch,
I hesitate
A hundred years plus one
I awaited the burn of the sun
but it never came
and I turned my gaze to the day
they would tear me apart
bury me facedown in the dirt
with a stake through my heart
It never came
a hundred years plus one
and I still walk in the sun
Now I create,
breathe to life a new race
for hours I watch,
and in the dawn he Awakes
