Kansas Avenue
Kansas Avenue sucks
I wish I didn’t live here
Its suburban and clean-looking enough
But do its inhabitants know that it is evil, wanton, duplicitous, insane, dirty, and rude?
Reasonable people do not abide here
There is a lump in my throat,
choking on vomit and
choking back tears.
I pray for the end of days, a flood,
a huge fire and sinkhole
to devour this sin.
I wish I didn’t live here

But do its inhabitants know that it is evil, wanton, duplicitous, insane, dirty, and rude?
Reasonable people do not abide here
There is a lump in my throat,
choking on vomit and
choking back tears.
I pray for the end of days, a flood,
a huge fire and sinkhole
to devour this sin.
