Wife and Astral Pup
 
No possessions to speak of
Means lock secured by sorcery
But earthly key jiggles deadbolt
Yet no privacy invaded
Due to key entrusted to late wife
Her good housekeeping eye takes a tour
Getting her stamp of approval
She unpacks a checker set  
My Boston Terrier Ruthie manifests
And ladylike she stands
For me to take her front paws in hand
Like stars reflected in a mountain stream she says,
 “Goodbye John”
“Rowena she spoke English,
But what does she mean?”
“She wants a walk.  
Even astral dogs need recreation.
But she won’t need a leash.”
Rowena my ghostly wife
Prepares the board for she and me
And canine makes three
