No Regrets
[i]
I do not regret telling you,
And I know you have kept it.
I know you will never
do any thing to hurt me-
or tare me in two.
But I must ask you this:
" Do You regret asking me,
and have you kept it since?"
I want to believe
that you will never hurt me,
Never deceive me.
But how will I know that is true
If I've never asked you?
[b]The minds' heart
is a fragile object.
If it so much as
receives a fracture,
it will die-
and not even
the strongest
bandage will
mend it from part.
I do not regret telling you,
And I know you have kept it.
I know you will never
do any thing to hurt me-
or tare me in two.
