Honeysuckles

A red bird was singing a familiar song
Outside my window a began to sing along
Felt the warmth of the summers day
I escaped to a place and it took me away

A peaceful feeling was more that a disguise
The sky was blue as a closed my eyes
It was more than a high as I looked to the sun
Felt the passion as all the colors came undone

As a warm breeze softly began to blow
I broke the chains and let my spirit go
I walked where the tide meets the sand
Honeysuckles in your hair and a promise in your hand
