My fingers wrestle the rumpled sheets
A breathy exhale releasing the tight grip
For only a couple seconds
The hunger of my skin briefly stilled
Because my ears don't mind sharing
My mind can roam freely in these moments
But all it always gets stuck on you
Wishing that it's your breath, warm on my skin
Your fingers exploring me
If only it was you I clung to riding that buzzing wave
I wish it was your arm I felt wrapping around me when my chest is left heaving
But it is your name on my lips when I close my eyes and call it a night
Your voice in my ear when I wake up again
A breathy exhale releasing the tight grip
For only a couple seconds
The hunger of my skin briefly stilled
Because my ears don't mind sharing
My mind can roam freely in these moments
But all it always gets stuck on you
Wishing that it's your breath, warm on my skin
Your fingers exploring me
If only it was you I clung to riding that buzzing wave
I wish it was your arm I felt wrapping around me when my chest is left heaving
But it is your name on my lips when I close my eyes and call it a night
Your voice in my ear when I wake up again
