Compare
As I take my last breath,
I embraced my death.
taking this huge dive,
I finally feel alive.
saying goodbye, i thought was hard,
but no, I’ll just give you my card.
I keep seeing this fall come,
I realized I was a banal bum.
I hear them beat,
I thought I was cheat.
then I begin to slow,
and I start to see the glow.
looking up, looking down, side to side,
as I see those tears cried.
they are at my resting place,
me, looking up to his face.
regretting what I’ve done,
I start to run.
I’m getting no where,
I dare you to compare.
leave the one you love,
I’ll give you a shove.
come join me,
you can, on the count of three.
now you feel what I feel,
as you take your last kneel.
I embraced my death.
taking this huge dive,
I finally feel alive.
saying goodbye, i thought was hard,
but no, I’ll just give you my card.
I keep seeing this fall come,
I realized I was a banal bum.
I hear them beat,
