THE NEW BORN BABE
THE NEW BORN BABE
A new born babe has just come here.
He moves my heart for being so frail.
I place my finger in his hand.
He grasps it as if he seeks help.
Why do you catch my finger, babe?
Are you so scared of this new world?
I have been here for such long time
and till now like you l seek aid.
You feel a stranger in this world !
No wonder, you have just arrived,
but l've been here for such long time,
yet l'm a stranger l still feel.
Don't frown; l know my words are cruel.
You'll be accustomed to cruel words.
You'll love the world; l am quite sure,
and you'll feel sad when you depart.
