Winter Lantern...

To tear apart what we believe.
In hopes of finding comfort.
Another way to live, without relying always.
Trying to see differently the world, that's destroying us.
Divides us once more.
Our time's almost over.

Somehow it changed.
From a haven to a tomb.
Still the promise remains.
A fire always dies whether or not we're prepared.
To face the inevitable dark.
Goodbye.

Choosing the easiest way to leave.
Losing hope, you stray believing.
Mercy involves a price to pay.
A value twice more than you own.

To step beyond the line we bind ourselves to.
The safety that shelters us.
Somehow it changed.
From a haven to a tomb.
And yet we're rotting the same.
A fire always dies whether or not we're prepared.
To face the inevitable dark.
Goodbye.

Choosing the easiest way to leave.
Losing everything to the flame.
Mercy involves a very heavy price.
A value twice more than we own.

The light is almost gone.
The fuel's no more.
My lantern has none to give.

Shadows shall dance in absence of light.
Let your eyes see things clearly.
Reach past the fear and finally move on.
Stay true.

Stay true my silhouette.
Don't assimilate into the dark.
The spark remains, within me.
No longer bound in chains.
I'm free...
