Holding the Glass
Tears do not effect a glass filled with space,
the space remains, when the glass is shattered
When there are no words
a mouth is a hole with a hot tongue
a stone murmuring to the earth waiting for rain
facing the colossal indifference of the sun
This wordless sound is my alleluia
Not a tired prayer of hope but a cry of unending triumph!
The stars make their blue dissolve, before the dawn
I am, alone remains, ready for the coming of the new day
