Walking on water
just for starts
that’s life in a failed
democracy
risking death
by drowning
in darkness
your spirit
moving over
deep obscurity
until a land
of truth appears
in a great hall
where we dine
endlessly
on satisfying words
of closure
surrounded by
blazing walls
mid island
of lake fire
where only
monsters from the deep
are afraid
