Everyday

Everyday's the same, living in a trance.
It all began the day I gave drugs a chance.

Used to be the smart kid, always the head of class.
Its amazing how with just one line it all could fall so fast.

Slowly growing further from all my other friends,
With all of these great things who has time for them?

Nodding in and out as life slowly passes by,
You live, you get high and then one day you'll die.

I lie down on my bed as my buzz starts coming down,
Then I rub my eyes and I take a look around.

Nothing in my bedroom cause I sold it all for dope
Gave up all my prized possessions for that simple poke.

I think back to the days when I too had a dream,
But because I couldn't say "No" my life's ripped at the seams.

I know I do not need the drugs, I want to let them go,
But no matter how hard I fight I just cannot let go.

Pills in my pocket every single day,
I gotta find that high and any price I'll pay.
