Sunday Morning
It's 5:45 a.m.,
And guess what we're doing?
Waiting again with the "on its way" promises.
When will we learn?
Hell, its the Lord's day,
And we're chasing down the devil...
But, only because we need a little help
Getting through today-
Being a mom, a better half, and a domesticated role model.
Anyways, we can sleep tonight,
Cause Monday morning is already waiting for us,
With a thousand more things
We'll be expected to accomplish
Before 5 p.m. Friday.
It's such a vicious cycle,
Yet,still we thrive on the way it drives us...
Giving us hope that it won't always be like this.
So, for now...we go on...
Living the lives of cleaver house wives~
Perfecting the art of inventing secrets,
That we hide behind our inside smiles...
Creating Alibis at the last minute-
So we can keep our sacred peace of mind...
And, if we're lucky,
Buy a little more time before having to go home.
And, it's nice to know it will never go further,
Than just the two of us.
And guess what we're doing?
Waiting again with the "on its way" promises.
