The result of what I knew

I waged a mental warfare on myself & fought thru every obstacle I knew I would win.

I turned everyone who didn’t believe in us into supporters.  

I put myself in physical & emotional turmoil just to see your smile remain.  

I taught myself how to love so you wouldn’t have a reason to leave.  

I knew I’d have to let you go in the long run but the immediate gratification you gave made it hard to let go.
