Talking to you is like offering me to dinner.
All it is noise and my heads full of static.
The constant click, click, click of your teeth
and the tap, tap, tap of my shoe.
I no longer smell the sun on your skin
or think about the trips you use to take me on.
I got tired of standing there and being compared
to something I was not.
You gave me the "hook, line, and sinker" talk again.
Told me I would never amount to anything,
while spinning a web full of lies and getting
them caught in my head.
I remember the way you used to hold my hand.
We made everyone jealous to no end.
Now I can't even stand to look at you anymore.
I'm just going to walk away until
your memories start to fade and my ears
can no longer feel your lips moving.
When I start to forget your touch and
throw off the baggage you harbored on me.
That is when I'll walk away.
I am something new that doesn't hold your baggage.
I am leanant with a whole lotta leverage.
This is who I am.
Now fuck off.
