Iscariot
Iscariot
I came out of the averted eyes,
I arose on a weekend day,
When no one was out.
I stood tall in the wake of loneliness.
Now I am a value, a mortal with a rep.
I am ostracized with lust, feared with devotion.
I am held as a bounty, wanted.
Hunted in the bush, the canopy, the grasslands,
Hunted with an elephant rifle, silver bullet glimmering.
That better go in my head, or I’ll maul you into Lethe.
You better find nirvana in my death.
Charon should hold you hand,
I should break your knees with a bat so you can’t stand.
Advantages are handed out, my friend.
(I’m gonna steal one, anyways)
The river below us bathes in pestilence,
(I want to drink it)
Baboons and bats climb from cave ceilings,
I blow their heads of because they don’t have feelings.
The man before me rows his boat, steady and determined.
If he is perseverance, I am vermin.
You’re with me, all this time,
As our fabrics of limitation unwind.
The water parts, Moses shambles out,
Staff in hand, venom in wisdom.
He will guide you, charge you,
Burn you, carry you through.
I don’t need that kind of help, though.
I’m a strong man, I follow close behind.
My limitations still unwind.
Arteries are along the walls,
Limbo pours out, bewitched and bewildered.
I climb up, bleeding and free,
Limitless.
You are plunged under brackish water,
Fish feed on your teeth.
You see me drowning underneath,
A hole in my eye,
A truth in my lie.
Dominated and broken like a mustang,
Branded like a stallion, you still stand,
You knees have grown back into a broken man.
You head is down, you throat agape,
You will succumb.
Your brain is numb,
Your skin has scales,
A big ugly tail grows out your spine,
A dagger at the tip.
Incisors grow out your lips.
A virtue, a contribution,
An experiment, a value,
Nirvana in stress.
Now if only if you could rest.
Age dum fiunt.
But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
-Luke 22:48
