Standing over me
they present
endless questions
and suggestions
as I fashion
this poem
a nearly
intangible gift
as most of mine
are to them
or homemade
like their quilts
their gifts too
are hard to
quantify
brimming with
potential
life for them
has just begun
after all...
they’re six and eight...
we think they’re great!

It's hard to know what to get 6 and 8 year old boys for their birthday. Kerp on writing my goddess.

They have binoculars, a rocket kit, and a few other cute things to open, as well as cake and balloons, but it is the intangible gifts I like to personally make - and the others are a group effort.
