Forgotten Haiti
The earth shook for sixty seconds
Killed so many people
But their world has been broken
For so many years before
They're on our TV screens
Begging us for help
We’ll send them aid no doubt
But where were we before?
There were people helping already
I admit that they were there
But not enough, or cash
We should’ve helped more before
They were living in homes so weak
How were they meant to survive
When the ground started moving beneath?
They needed the money before
We’re remembering them now
Wanting to ease the suffering
But we should have done it before.
Remembered the forgotten Haiti.
