Though you are not human
I love you very much.
And though you cannot fly-
For your left wing is damaged
from past homes;
I will guid you through
the sky and protect you
no matter how
far I am. Because
you deserve the love
and freedom of a simple
human beign.
For your thumping birdie
heart belongs to me,
And my thumping human heart belongs
to you.
And no one will
take you from me
nor I from you.
Because if they do
I will fight
I will protect
you.
