Senescence
Aged, darkened, terra cotta
outlines the depth,
of reds, yellows
and blues
Autumn's russet foliage, the
amber tannins that swirl
Into homespun gold
it's smooth swift
dance like rich
oils on
canvas
Celosia in her warm orange
and burgundy creep
through various
shades of the
season
welcoming Chrysanthemums
red velvet and ivory face
laced with pale
tenderness
Senescence repeated, rebirth
death, life and decay
permeate the air
with musk
under a
solstice
sun

o O I loved the imagery of this, Val. Autumn is my favorite seasons and this enabled me to see, feel, and even smell the aromas of change permeating outside.

This is my “home” season. It’s where my spirit feels full. You have really done a beautiful job with imagery. Visually, the layout is unique and adds flare. A really lovely piece.
