The Perfect Storm

Without warning, her mind kicks into overdrive
her subconscious transformed
oozing irrational thoughts
Consumed by the impending storm

Perceptions, become truth.
Her fear flashes as lightning strikes,
heightening her emotions
Her friend's loyalty she questions

Booming thunder reverberates
muffling her rational voice.
Zealous in her opinion
She rains down her convictions

Adrenalin accelerates her beating heart.
Hatches secured prepared to fight
Treated no better than a stranger
Disrespected is  her muses honour

The cyclone gains momentum
Exposing deep seated roots
Self-control lacking
Broken riverbanks, flood water rising

Swept away by her torrential storm
alone amongst the debris
Reflecting...
Of forgiveness is she deserving....
