the place
waking up
in a field by the highway
with no recollection
how he got there
he started walking
in the mid-day sun
till he reached the town
a ghost town
not a soul to be found
till he reached a street
where lay some old men
and women
worn and torn attires
long untended hair
idling by the pavement
he joined in
no words spoken
only inquisitive gazes
a strange towm
a strange place
where a stranger
is not a stranger.
they all had
a story to tell
and none
from or of the place
poets.
