fake Hollywood smile
no - not that
I want more
to be stunningly beautiful
so that others
would fade
standing
next
to
me
I want to be talented
no, not that
I want more
to be amazingly talented
so that people would
remind me
about it
every single day
without
every day reminder
I will easily forget
dive into
another
dump
and
dark
wave of
depression
I want
to
be
truly
talented
that’s all I’ve got,
so do you understand?
if I don’t have that
then what else
can I do
for
the world?

The form of this poem is sheer genius. You literally fall off the stanzas as you read them only to be picked up by the next. Wonderful and so human. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

i like this because i think we all want to be more than we are. we also i love being reminded when i do something good. you have no idea how much i appreciate comments on my work i smile and i feel like it actually reached someone. my work isnt so good at reaching ppl but i try and when i feel as ive succeeded is when someone gives me that comment that inspires me to keep living because someone out there likes what i do
