Just Your Patsy
It had happened unexpectedly.
You came over to me.
With a flush look on your face.
Your eyes all over the place.
The expression was tough to read.
After that you did the awful deed.
It came right out of your lips.
My world then turns and flips.
"Do you want to go on a date?"
It makes me want to regurgitate.
Butterflies fluttering around.
My heart begins to pound.
Then I see the wry smile.
I didn't know you could be so vile.
Your laugh makes me drop.
The anguish causes me to stop.
My mind feels so numb.
I knew I was ugly and dumb.
Leaving me wide awake.
Nothing left for you to take.
Crying alone in my room.
All that's left inside is gloom.
