Undefeated Time
why can't I love you forever?
we seem too perfect
hooked on you like some drug abuser
but I don't need no illegal substance
no real interest in work, or politics
a kiss is all I crave
my eyes see only clear roads
but we know it has to end
I'm just asking, why?
these days of many laughs and smiles
nights of warmful hugs
can't imagine a time without them
maybe if I could plea to the Gods
tell them how special we are
perhaps if once they could hold their wrath
I'd pray everyday on my knees
I would do just about anything
sure, I chairish every moment
just not sure if it's enough
I'm a greedy fuck
need to see the sky fall before I give you up
the strongest ant holds no power
not in the grand scheme
so I ask
if there is a way
let us be the first to beat
