A Good Performance ( A Little Something I Learned In Drama Class)
A good performance
Always lacks conformance
It sometimes breaks convention
Without any capitulation
While remembering the need to consider the audience.
Wait! ... are they also part of the performance?
A good performance can’t be set in a frame
If you did the performance would be maimed
A good performance is something best left to boggle the mind
Instead of feeling the necessity to fill in every detailed line.

Thank you for the great response. Yes I never thought that when I got into the class that I would like it as much as I did and I especially didn't think that I would take away all the knowledge that I did.

Knowledge is to learn from ones mistakes, but wisdom is to learn from the mistakes of others! Remember that you are wiser that knowledgeable. Once again I love this poem

=) Thank you for the beautiful comment Cao. I'm glad you enjoyed it. and Yes when I wrote it I was mainly just trying to use a bunch of terms that my teacher used to describe plays. Though I originally hadn't thought about provocativeness when I wrote this piece. I have been finding out that plays that fit this idea of a good performance usually are provocative. So yup no worries =) you where correct.
