UnGodly Time to Write: LEtters to the REader

I feel like I must write at this hour, with not a story on mind,
not a plot that calls for my clothing words.
I just know that I must write to you.
You, the one reading my work,
skimming over my legacy left in perfectly measured stanzas.
You the one trying to find the right words in what your trying to say,
trying to portray in the next poem.
You, the one who lets their heart go as their fingers try and keep up.
You, the one who’s name is not known.
Thats the thing I love about writing, we feel a connection,
as your hear the soft grumble of my voice,
you feel me standing over you reading this piece to you,
even though I might be dead, or have never existed.
I’m here right now to write and that is all.
To display my thoughts on absolutely nothing
so that people around the world hear my voice.
To be honest I don’t know why I’m writing this, but you probably do.
I’ve found that if you just write what’s in the heart
and add detail later that the reader understands
more the world your coming from.
