Evening's Gaze
Late evening breeze was reflected in your glittering eyes,
Made my heart sink deep & took me for a ride in clear sky.
You showed me glimpses of an unknown world,
Drank autumn wine with me & played with deceitful words.
Sometimes I can't tell what it is that you're thinking,
I just want to let the scars in my heart go away,
And feel your breathing.
I want to see with open eyes towards summer blaze,
Stop worrying so much & wander within your gaze.
Maybe your tender smile is the only thing that's true,
As you sit next to me & my existence fades into you.
Maybe your doubtful eyes are creation of my own,
But the fear in my heart could never be shown.
As I have a long look in your eyes so deeply black,
Like the shimmering water rippling in dark night lake.
And I only want to keep looking at them in wonder,
If you could you fake your gaze for a little while longer.
