Letter to my brain
You linger in redundancy,
Repetitious darkened cycles.
The outside world makes fun of me
Leaving me with vacant smiles.
I’ve let you dwell in awful places,
Why must you obsess ?
The same old pain in different faces,
Leading to a bigger mess.
I’ve tried to drown you into silence,
With substances and lust.
What remains is our alliance,
But you have drained my trust.
