Slipping through my fingers

 Slipping through my fingers

One moment you were in my life the next moment you were gone, all that's left are memories and lyrics from a song

The clouds of sadness are gathering there blocking out loves Sun, gone are fleeting moments, when I simply was the one

Like grains of sand in a timer, they mark the moments you were here, now you seem so far away, gone are the moments you are near

Words we often shared, no longer mean a thing, all that's left is loneliness and the tears it also brings

A million stanzas from the heart, a homage just for you, lost now to the four winds, lost between us two

But I guess muses come and go, inspiration slips away, I can only hope, more rhymes will come but sadly not today
